Perez: “There is still room for improvement”

There is still work to be done around the house Clean, after the first free practice of the Japanese Grand Prix. The team has brought a new aerodynamic package to the car and we still have to bring out the best possible performance.

Sergio Perez, 13th: “We completed a good program today. It's the first time I've raced here and it's quite a difficult circuit. There is definitely room for improvement on my part and we still need to get the best out of the new aerodynamic package. The degradation of the front tires was quite significant and we need to further improve the balance of the car."

Kamui Kobayashi, 16th: “With all the updates brought here, we were quite busy today making sure everything was running smoothly and it's good that we were able to complete the program without any problems. My lap times are not good, also because I made a mistake in a fast corner, when I had my new set of soft tyres. After all, I think we could improve the balance of the car, and the pace. We must look and choose the best possible solution starting from today's data."
