For his career, Kubica wants to keep all possibilities open

Robert Kubica avoided giving any indication as to what future awaits him as a Formula 1 driver. The Pole confirmed himself in 2008 among the fastest and most consistent drivers in the series, and is only six behind his BMW-Sauber points from championship leader Lewis Hamilton.

Despite the option that his team could try to assert beyond 2009, the expiry date of Kubica's contract, BMW Sauber boss Mario Theissen revealed that the driver program will only be announced after the summer, and on The twenty-three year old from Krakow also expressed the same line of indeterminacy: "I would just like to be able to access the best option for me, and we'll see what happens. For the moment I'm just concentrating on this season, doing the best job possible. For the future will have to wait" – Kubica declared to the microphones of AP.
