New Ferrari F1: presentation at the end of January
Crash tests in Bollate next week
Ferrari is preparing to launch its F1 car for the 2014 Formula 1 season. The new Prancing Horse car will almost certainly be presented before the winter tests in Jerez. The most probable dates are January 23rd or 25th while January 24th seems unlikely as it is a Friday and could be avoided for reasons of scarcity.
According to rumors, the new car will be subjected to mandatory FIA crash tests next week at the CSI facility in Bollate.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Ferrari has already tested the new energy recovery systems for 2014 on a 2011 car. The debut on the track could take place with a shakedown at Fiorano to take some video shots.
The new Ferrari F1 will likely return to the more conventional pushrod suspension at the front following the pullrod innovation introduced in 2012 and confirmed in 2013.
The name of the new Ferrari single-seater will be chosen through an Internet survey.
