“Fifth place is a good result after an unpredictable race. I had a bad start in the wet and after that we lacked pace and I struggled with the option tyres. The rear degradation was excessive and so we decided to make a second stop to try to attack the group in front. Even without tire problems it would have been difficult to pass, so it was nice to make up a couple of positions with Mark and Lewis' accident. We need to continue to take points while we continue to improve the car.”
