Nico Rosberg: “Hamilton was right to bet on Mercedes”

Nico Rosberg stated that in his opinion Lewis Hamilton he made the right choice by deciding to settle down at Mercedes for the 2013.

Many have disputed how the 2008 world champion has moved from a top team like McLaren to Mercedes, this year in evident technical difficulty.

Rosberg explained that the Brackley team's performance slump was due to the team changing the scale of its wind tunnel from 50 to 60 percent.

“It's a really complicated job but we anticipated it to be competitive in 2013”.

Asked if Hamilton's move to leave McLaren is surprising, Rosberg replied: “Not at all. He is one of the best pilots available”.

“He's thinking long term. This is a strong team that is developing a lot and will eventually succeed."

“Eventually” is the doubt — Hamilton has already said he doubts he will win races next season.

“I think it's leaving the suspense for something spectacular, however I've learned not to comment on newspaper news” smiled Rosberg.
