Nico Rosberg: “Very fast Ferraris, they will be a threat”

Third place for Nico Rosberg, almost half a second from the top, at the conclusion of the first day on the track in Mexico City. The pilot Mercedes he finished behind his teammate, followed closely by Ferrari di Kimi Raikkonen. A good feeling with the track but still a lot of work to be done before Saturday, and a new threat that could upset the championship fight at the home of the Silver Arrows: a Ferrari in great shape.

“It was a particular day with lower temperatures than usual and a track in progress: we spent the day learning the behavior of the tires and understanding how to get the best out of the flying lap and the long runs,” he explained Rosberg at the end of the day.

“We learned a lot today and it's not a bad start, but there's still a lot of work to do tonight. The car was fine with the medium tyre, but even in this case we need to make some progress to understand how to extract some performance. There Ferrari looked really fast here – they will be a real threat. Let's see what happens tomorrow. It's fantastic to be back in Mexico, the fans here are exceptional and we're only at the start of the weekend,” concluded the German driver.
