Nasr: “If I'm in F1 it's also thanks to Raikkonen”
The Finn helped him financially to race in Europe
Defined by many as a pilot with a suitcase because he was supported by the mega sponsor Banco do Brasil Felipe Nasr has not always had an easy path through the intricate ways of motorsport.
Not particularly wealthy enough to be able to leave Brazil and come racing in the Old Continent, the 22-year-old would have achieved very little if he hadn't met in 2010 Raikkonen and his manager Steve Robertson, who together managed the Double R, a team deployed in F3.
“Kimi was one of the people who invested in my career when my parents couldn't afford to pay me for a championship in Europe he revealed to Canal Latin America – It's also in homage to that period that I chose number 12. The thing the good thing is that now we both race in the same category."
