Narain Karthikeyan: “We will hardly see an Indian GP again”
The Indian driver is pessimistic about a return of F1 to his country
di Antonino RendinaDecember 21, 2015
Narain Karthikeyan, the first Indian Formula 1 driver and former Jordan and Hrt driver, is pessimistic about the return of the top category to his country. According to the Indian, in fact, the government has never been too interested in the Grand Prix and F1 itself has not been too successful in India.
“We are unlikely to see F1 in India again - Karthikeyan said - New Delhi could have had another destiny, but unfortunately in the three editions of the GP there were always few spectators in the stands. The right feeling has never developed between India and F1, beyond the economic problems experienced by the organisers. To organize a GP, strong government interest would be needed, an interest that isn't there at the moment."
