Montezemolo: “Schumi jr is a serious and intelligent boy, we need to let him grow”

Speaking at the Aniene Rowing Club, on the occasion of the presentation of the book Ignazio Giunti. One rider, one era, the former president of Ferrari Luca Cordero di Montezemolo spoke of the landing of Mick Schumacher in the Cavallino young drivers program.
"I love Mick, I've known him since he was an infant and Michael covered him from mosquitoes – said Montezemolo, quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport -. This is a serious and intelligent boy, you have to leave him grow". On a possible career full of successes, like his father's, he added: “I hope so, but it's still too early to tell".
From the former Cavallino number one there was no shortage of compliments for Fernando Alonso, winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona on Sunday: “I'm happy. Fernando is a great driver who had difficulty being a team man, but he always gave everything. With Schumacher and Lauda he is the strongest of all time at Ferrari. He regrets that in 2010 and 2012 he was unable to win the World Championship".
