Montezemolo: “No negotiations to bring Vettel to Ferrari”

Luca Cordero di Montezemolo has reiterated that "there are no negotiations" to bring Sebastian Vettel to Ferrari. Several insiders had interpreted each other's comments as a prelude to a possible collaboration.

But on the occasion of the presentation of the Ferrari F150, Montezemolo denied the rumors of a possible move of the world champion from Red Bull to Ferrari.

“I hope that the next Ferrari driver comes from the Ferrari Driver Academy, because that would mean that he is truly a star” explained Montezemolo.

At the moment the Ferrari nursery is focusing above all on the 21-year-old Frenchman Jules Bianchi, hired this year as third driver.

As for Vettel, Montezemolo added: “There is absolutely nothing in place, apart from congratulations on a beautiful season and the fact that he was able to use the last race in Abu Dhabi to his advantage,” concluded Montezemolo.
