Montezemolo defines the rules of F1 as "Martian".

Luca di Montezemolo expressed a negative opinion on the new Formula 1 rules: he stated that the steering wheels have become "Martian" and criticized the new mobile rear wing.

According to the Finnish newspaper Turun Sanomat, the adjective "martians" used by the president of Ferrari refers precisely to the steering wheels, equipped with ever-increasing functions including the management of the KERS and the mobile rear wing.
“The new rules have nothing to do with F1,” said Montezemolo during the Geneva motor show, including the test ban in his criticism.
He then referred to the outcome of the 2010 World Cup, making a football comparison: "It was like missing a penalty kick without a goalkeeper."
According to the New York Times, the President is much more confident about the health of the automotive world, after the crisis of past years: "The air we breathe is much better than it was a few years ago."
