Montagny less satisfied than Trulli on Toyota's second day in Barcelona

Toyota's work on Wednesday's testing in Spain was characterized by some inconveniences which made it necessary to use recovery vehicles: in the morning, Jarno Trulli ended up in the gravel, while Franck Montagny hit a brick wall protection after turn 13.

Jarno Trulli
"All in all, an ordinary day and I again enjoyed driving without traction control. We tried many details which made the car perform better, making good use of the day, apart from the fact that I lost part of the morning for an excursion in the gravel. We have clear and positive indications on the development of the car for the next season and therefore I am satisfied"

Frank Montagny
"It was a decidedly bad day for me. On Tuesday the car seemed good to me, although not perfect, but the increased rubber on the track made it difficult to find the right set-up. I had problems getting the tires up to temperature and I went out track in the morning, which took two hours to repair the car. Then there were problems with the software and although I was driving the car with the 2008 evolutions we expected better. It was disappointing, but I hope to make up for it on the last day of tests".

Pascal Vasselon, Senior General Manager Chassis
"With Jarno there was progress in the set-up comparison work while Franck continued to work with the 2008 evolutions and using the new standard control unit: although he suffered from some delays and was not totally satisfied with his day, he was able to produce very indicative information".
