Merhi: “Despite the wrong strategy, happy with the result”
The Spaniard from Manor finished twelfth. One position further back Stevens
Even with some hitches Manor managed to survive the massacre of the British GP and bring both its cars to the finish line.
“I am happy with this twelfth place achieved in the team's home race – he acknowledged Roberto Merhi – Even if it wasn't an easy weekend, the pace also arrived at the right time. When the weather changed I immediately put on the intermediates, but since the real rain arrived a little later, I found myself having to return again when it was just before the end. However, I am happy with the feedback I received from the updates."
“I'm a bit disappointed because in the first part of the race with the mediums I went well – he admitted Will Stevens, 13th, disturbed by a software malfunction and therefore forced to extend the first pit stop – Unfortunately the strategy didn't pay off and in the final stages I ended up on the gravel, damaging the nose. Overall it was a positive race. Applause certainly goes to the team."
