The German wants to end 2016 on a high note which could make him world champion

Mercedes, Rosberg: “I want to end the season with a victory”

The last weekend of the season officially began with the press conference ranking, which will see Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton battle it out to win the world title in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. A press conference in some ways particular, as Rosberg and Hamilton were the protagonists of a dialectical face-to-face in front of the journalists.

The German, who arrived at Yas Marina with a 12 point lead over his teammate/rival, does not seem to suffer from the tension of the moment: "It will be a race like any other for myself, at the moment I had the best weekend in Singapore, where I was the best on the track".

"It's not the first time I find myself fighting for the world championship – continued the German – Naturally, in these cases the experience accumulated in the past is very important. I want to end the season with a victory. Lewis had a great season, had great races and was a tough competitor and a great driver. I respect him a lot, both on and off the track. This is not the most important weekend of my life, I have had other notable joys such as the birth of my daughter".

At the start of the season there was an exchange of mechanics inside the Mercedes garage between Rosberg and Hamilton. A choice that Keke's son evaluates positively: "Having made these changes has helped team members to get closer together. It's not an easy situation at first, but you get used to it".
