Mercedes: Rosberg seventh, Schumacher ninth on the grid in Hungary
Nico Rosberg is satisfied with the seventh position on the grid achieved with Mercedes in qualifying for the Hungarian GP at the Hungaroring.
“Qualifying in seventh position is ok for today; we had a good set-up after free practice this morning and I had a good lap in Q3” commented Nico Rosberg. “I'm happy to have saved a new set of option tires for the race which will help me collect some points” added the German in Budapest.
His teammate, Michael Schumacher did not go beyond ninth position on the grid: “The positive thing about today's qualifying is that I will start from the best side of the grid, in ninth position. However there are things we need to check such as the first two sectors where we did not perform as expected today. We did well with the hard tires but not with the supersofts, so we need to analyze the reasons. As always, we will try to do our best in tomorrow's race."
