Mercedes, Rosberg doesn't give up: "The world championship isn't over yet"

Nico Rosberg, forty-eight points behind Lewis Hamilton in the standings and five victories of the season less, is anything but close to competing for the world championship with his teammate, indeed emerging completely diminished by a comparison that in 2015 has at times been merciless. Yet Nico, on the eve of the Russian GP, still promises battle, convinced that he still has some small chances at the championship.

“After Japan, with a cool head, I was able to focus on the positive elements of my second place in Suzuka: the pole position, the overtaking on Bottas on the track and the speed that allowed me to overtake Vettel with strategy” declared the German, who then continued: “I don't want to let go of the championship, I don't want to give up, and the positions gained in Japan are proof. We still have five GPs to go and even though my gap in the standings is quite high, in my mind I know it's not over yet. The team worked very well and I know I have a top-of-the-podium car in my hands. Last year I really enjoyed the Sochi race, it was an impressive result for the team. This time I want to exploit all the potential available to bring home the full spoils".
