Mercedes, Rosberg: “The hat? After the GP I was angry with the whole world"
Nico calls Austin one of the worst moments of his career
It wasn't the most elegant thing to see that cap angrily "returned" to Lewis Hamilton. Nico Rosberg after the race in Austin it was funereal, losing a bit of the traditional aplomb that distinguishes it. Rosberg, as he explained to BILD, who was angry with himself, with everyone, not so much for the world championship won by Hamilton (which was inevitable) but for having effectively given him the race due to a banal mistake.
“After the race I was totally disgusted, as if I had been made to eat ox testicles – said the Mercedes number two– I was pissed; I was mad at myself, at Lewis, at the whole world! And I'm not talking about the championship, which Hamilton fully deserved, but about the fact that it wasn't Lewis who won in Texas, but rather me who lost. It was one of the worst moments of my career. A mistake can be made, okay, but at the moment I felt like someone who had lost against an invisible and difficult enemy to fight. For some it's bad luck, for others it's fate, I just know that I was very nervous about my mistake."
