Mercedes, Hamilton: “We hope to get an excellent result in Sepang”

Over the weekend, Formula One returns to the track with the Malaysian Grand Prix, an event where Lewis Hamilton is called to immediate redemption after the last three races which saw the Englishman take the lowest step of the podium in two circumstances (Spa and Singapore ) and second place in the Monza race.

In Sepang, where he achieved just one career victory in 2014, the reigning world champion will have to try to reduce the eight-point deficit that separates him in the championship standings from his teammate and current world championship leader, Nico Rosberg.

"Singapore was a difficult weekend for myself, third place allowed me to limit the damage. Nico (Rosberg, ed.) he did an exceptional job and I didn't have the best weekend. We are both very competitive. In the last six races of the season I will have to give my all to try to make up for lost ground".

"Sepang is the first of these last six events – continues Hamilton – and I can't wait to get on the track.
