Mercedes, Hamilton: “The season finale seems obvious, but anything can happen”

In view of the last round of the season scheduled for Sunday in Abu Dhabi, Lewis Hamilton must win... and hope that Nico Rosberg finishes the race outside the podium area. Despite a fluctuating year (punctuated by excellent performances with some hit-and-miss starts and various technical problems) the Englishman has no intention of leaving defeated in view of the weekend which will be held on the Yas Marina track.

"I will never forget the first victory in Brazil – declared Hamilton – I waited a long time for her. I am in good shape thanks also to the excellent car that the mechanics provided me with. I achieved 31 victories in four years with Mercedes: crazy numbers to say the least".

"I am grateful to all the guys on the team for the great satisfaction we have achieved, we will continue to write new pages of history together. For myself it hasn't been a perfect season and it won't be easy to subvert the final prediction, but I'll try".

"Even if the ending seems obvious, anything can happen. Whatever happens, I am still proud of the goals achieved with the team in recent years. My mood ahead of the Abu Dhabi weekend is the same as always: I want to win and I will do everything to do it”, concluded Hamilton.
