Mercedes confirms: Schumacher suffers from nausea when in the simulator
Schumacher's discomfort when working on the simulator does not explain the disappointing return of the seven-time champion alongside Nico Rosberg: this is the crux of a statement from Mercedes, which comes after rumors circulated this week that Michael would not have worked to the team simulator due to motion sickness.
A source told Dutch website f1today.nl that while the setup of Rosberg's car was "largely already done" when Nico arrived at the circuit, "Michael started from a basic set-up", due to his inability to work effectively on the simulator. Mercedes clarified in a press release that it is wrong to say that Schumacher, 42, has only been affected by motion sickness since returning to business: “Throughout his career, Michael has occasionally suffered from nausea , which affected the time he gets to spend in the simulator. Michael was not disadvantaged by this problem: the time he spent in the simulator was always profitable,” added Mercedes. Who then specified: “Michael's difficulties in the simulator were amplified by Mercedes technology, which is not at the level of that of some opponents.”
