F1 Drivers' Market 2016: Ferrari has made an offer for Bottas
Bottas is certainly the main candidate to take his compatriot's place at Ferrari
Despite the reassurances given to Raikkonen by Arrivabene himself, Ferrari has already decided that the Finnish driver's future is far from Maranello. Unlike what one might think and above all, with the latest statements from the Team Principal still in hand, the Prancing Horse is serious, so much so that it would have already broke the delay with Williams, making an offer of 4 million euros to snatch Valtteri Bottas to the Grove team.
According to what Bild reports, the 25-year-old from Nastola is certainly the main candidate to take his compatriot's place alongside Vettel. But everything it will depend on Williams who also has an option on Bottas for next season. For the moment the British team has no intention of selling its little gem: Claire Williams' idea is to monetize more to free the Finn early so much so that she would have returned Ferrari's proposal to the sender, underlining that a transfer of Bottas in Maranello it is possible but for a price not below 15 million euro.
Once again Nico Hulkenberg, already called to Maranello once, in 2013 to replace Massa, and then dismissed with a squalid text message, will be rejected by Ferrari, but this time more for commercial than performance reasons, given that Ferrari already has a German driver and the management of the Prancing Horse would not be inclined to have a pair of drivers from the same country.
