McLaren, Perez: “I hope to make my fans smile”

La McLaren is preparing for the final sprint with discreet optimism. Relieved by the progress made by the experiments with a view to 2014, the Woking team aims to leave Texas with a nice haul.

“Last year, Austin was one of my most successful races of the season given that I started twelfth and finished fifth after a good battle – he said Jenson Button– In my opinion the first sector of the circuit is among the most beautiful in the world. The initial curve is quite treacherous because it is steep and blind, for the rest it is all ups and downs until the sharp braking on the last straight which leads to the final sector made up of several bends at low speed. I believe that our single-seater, thanks also to the recent improvements, will do well."

“I'm happy to be able to define the United States GP as my home race. It goes without saying that for me it is the most awaited event on the calendar and that I would be very keen to obtain a good result to make my fans go away with a smile on their faces - the words of Sergio Perez – I hope to be able to repeat India's performance where I always pushed and gained useful points for the team."
