Persistent rain affected most of the teams at Portimao yesterday. With too many risks with the slippery asphalt, the McLaren Mercedes test team ran a minimal programme, using a 2008 rear wing as a precautionary measure to increase the load during runs. Despite the weather, the team carried out several checks on the systems of the new MP4-24 and will continue the program tomorrow, again with Pedro de la Rosa.
