McLaren Mercedes: Hamilton aims for the lead at the first corner

A good qualifying for McLaren Mercedes in Hungary. Lewis Hamilton took fourth place on the grid at the Hungaroring while his teammate Heikki Kovalainen will start from sixth position.

LEWIS HAMILTON
"It was tough out there this afternoon. Maybe we could have been closer to the top because my last lap wasn't great, but fourth position is a good starting point for tomorrow's race. We're not still fast enough and we need to keep pushing, however, it's great to be back competitive at the front of the grid. There are a couple of cars I can try to overtake and hopefully I have good grip on my side of the grid, it would be great to go in the lead at the first corner. Finally, I want to send my best wishes to Felipe. It was a bad accident and I just hope he's okay."

HEIKKI KOVALAINEN
"The most encouraging thing about today is that we are much closer to the top. With the same updates as Lewis, we have made great progress, and this shows the incredible efforts that the whole team has made. I don't know if another team in the paddock could have made such a big step forward. We should all be encouraged, but the work starts again to really get back to the front. I really hope Felipe is okay. I hope he isn't injured, the impact reminded me of my accident in Barcelona last year".
