"A good race for me. Even though our overall pace wasn't as good as in the previous two races, our strategy worked perfectly and I was able to overtake many riders who stopped before me. I want to say a big thank you to all the guys from Woking, Brixworth and Stuttgart for their efforts. Sixth place today is the result of a strong and reliable car, great strategy, a fantastic engine and a first class KERS which helped me to gain 9 positions compared to the start. We still have some work to do to be fully competitive on medium load tracks but in Monza it should be a different story as it is a lightly loaded circuit and we traditionally go very well there Finally, I'm very happy for Kimi: he ran a great race and I knew it would be difficult to beat him here."

"Sometimes when things go bad they go really bad, and this was one of those days. I made a bad start, the anti-stall came on and I tried to recover, but I got stuck at the first corner and lost a bit of front wing. When Grosjean hit Jenson who spun at turn 5, everyone was trying to avoid them, so I slowed down but one of the riders behind me hit me. A disappointing day, but we'll come back and try to win this race next year."
