McLaren Mercedes outside the top ten in qualifying at Sepang

Another disappointing qualifying for McLaren Mercedes. Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen will start the Malaysian Grand Prix from 12th and 13th position respectively. The two pilots said they were not completely satisfied with the balance of the MP4-24.

LEWIS HAMILTON
"We don't have the pace to get into Q3 yet but the balance wasn't too bad, we just weren't able to get good corner speed. We expect to improve in the next two or three races. For tomorrow, I will race with all my heart, I will do my best and try to collect some points."

HEIKKI KOVALAINEN
"We knew it would be difficult to get into the top 10, so my result is more or less what I expected. The gap to the cars in front is smaller than in Melbourne, so I'm optimistic, we're going in the right direction, but we still haven't found the extra speed we need. The balance today wasn't exactly to my liking, but I did my best and I hope for a fun battle in the race tomorrow."
