"It was very windy today, so we struggled a bit especially towards the end when we changed the option tires and encountered some traffic. The new components certainly gave us an advantage but we still don't know how big compared to the our rivals. Overall the car looks good. Hopefully we can make some further improvements to the set-up overnight. Tomorrow we just need to focus on our programme."

JENSON BUTTON
L1: 14 laps 1m21.672s (+.538s) Pos 2
L2: 26 laps 1m21.364s (+.1.399s) Pos 9

"I think we still have a bit of work to do, to be honest. I didn't lap as I would have liked this morning because something damaged my car coming out of the pits. This afternoon we tried different set-up options and they weren't sure if we are going in the right direction. So there is still a lot of work to do with the tyres. This afternoon was a very difficult session. Some teams found a good balance straight away. There is still work to do this evening to understand why the car didn't work as expected. However, we collected a lot of data and I'm sure we will make some improvements to come back stronger tomorrow."
