McLaren again in difficulty in qualifying at Spa

LEWIS HAMILTON
Qualifying: 12th

"We did our best today. We always knew that the car could suffer in the central section: losing a second in those corners shows the true level of load on our car. We expected not to have an aerodynamic package like the others, but we didn't know to what extent. I think we found out today. But I'm not too disappointed, this year has been ups and downs for everyone, but I still have fun and love this track. Tomorrow I plan to get in the points." .

HEIKKI KOVALAINEN
Qualifying: 15th

"This morning, we were a bit surprised by the pace of some cars. We suffered in the high-speed corners a little more than in Hungary or Valencia, where the circuit configurations are slower. We expected that today it would be tough and our result shows that we still lack high speed efficiency, load and straight line speed. Furthermore, qualifying today was tight. There was a lot of traffic and, with a couple of tenths, I would have gotten into Q3. It will be a tough race tomorrow and I am optimistic that we can advance. However, we know where we are and we are not disappointed about that. We have shown progress since Silverstone and we will continue to push to resolve our problems."
