McLaren, Button: “We want to follow up on Austin's performance”
The McLaren-Honda driver hopes to get into the points again
Jenson Button hopes that McLaren can "continue the positive moment experienced in Austin", finding further good points in the second of two consecutive races on the American continent.
The English driver ranked sixth in Texas, his best position of the season, and hopes that the team can continue to grow in Mexico too, even if the circuit could prove difficult for the MP4-30.
“I think it will be a pretty tough race for us; I tested the circuit on the simulator and was surprised by the lack of grip there was – Button said Thursday in Mexico City – In Austin it was nice to score some good points, we were good with the strategy and here in Mexico we want to continue the positive streak. When I was little I remember watching the Mexican GP on TV and it seemed like an extraordinary race. It will be an interesting GP."
