McLaren, Button: “We are too far behind”

Jenson Button is aware that he will not be able to fight for the title this year with McLaren. The MP4-28 has so far disappointed, showing a clear technical crisis from the Woking team.

“We're too far behind, we won't win the title this year in any way” declared Button, more than 100 points behind the leader in the drivers' standings.

McLaren could therefore be tempted by the idea of ​​focusing on 2014 which will see the introduction of the new rules on V6 turbo engines but Button explained that the Woking team is determined to improve in 2013: "We can still win races" he declared , barring a podium at his home race at Silverstone later this month.

“No one knows how long this situation will last. It makes no sense to me to try to answer,” Button concluded.
