McLaren, Alonso: “We are focused on 2017, we will do even better”
For Fernando Alonso, Brazil remains a special place
Brazil is the place of two world championship victories, the last ten years ago, and Sao Paulo remains a special place for Fernando Alonso: “It's always special for me to come back here, it's normal that certain indelible memories of those moments come back to mind" Fernando declared to Movistar TV.
The present, however, is called McLaren-Honda and that is where Fernando immediately turns his gaze, with growing optimism, also due to the significant improvements seen in the current season.
“Last year we went out on track and didn't know if we would finish the session or the race. It was tough, but this year things have changed radically - the Spaniard continued - We have a top ten car, which allows us to fight for the points. This makes me optimistic about the future; we are mathematically sixth in the Constructors' Championship and I am convinced that in 2017 we will do even better, all our efforts are already aimed at next season".
