Mateschitz wants an F1 run by the teams

The Austrian billionaire Dietrich Mateschitz, owner of two Formula One teams, insists that the teams participating in the car championship acquire greater power, because lately Formula One is going through bad times due to the fact that those in charge have neither experience nor passion. Obviously Mateschitz is referring to Bernie Ecclestone, owner of the commercial rights in F1, in fact for the man the real rights holders should only be the teams, which in addition to the true passion for engines also have the right experience and history behind them.

Ecclestone is a great entrepreneur and as such his aims are aimed at maximizing profits, underestimating the real needs and neglecting the right aspects that would make this sport better even in a period of crisis like this.

The birth of FOTA is already a great beginning, the alliance with our friend Mosley and therefore the FIA ​​is an advantage, but as long as most of the rights remain in the hands of Formula One Management nothing will be able to change the things, unless the teams think of establishing an alternative championship to F1.
