Massa: “The best Friday of the year for Ferrari”

Felipe Massa is optimistic after Friday's free practice for the Formula 1 Canadian GP. The Brazilian closed the first day of the weekend with the third fastest time.

“It was a good day, perhaps the best Friday since the start of the season” commented the Ferrari driver. “The car seems competitive and the balance wasn't bad for the first day of testing. Obviously it's only Friday so it's difficult to have a clear idea of ​​the situation, also because we don't know if our opponents were trying different things, but I'm quite satisfied” explained Felipe.

“Unfortunately due to the red flags I wasn't able to use the Supersofts as I would have liked, so I concentrated on the long run with petrol on board. The fact of being able to use the mobile rear wing in two points on the track will certainly facilitate overtaking. The tires perform well and the degradation is not excessive, so I don't think we will see a race with many pit stops. Furthermore, we must consider that the threat of rain for Sunday is very high so we could have a wet race" concluded the Ferrari driver.
