Massa: “I have time to think about my future”

The news of the farewell of Felipe Massa in the world of Formula 1 it shocked many fans. After 15 years of an honorable career, the Brazilian will no longer be part of the circus, but there are numerous rumors about an alternative future on four wheels.

There are many categories that could accommodate the 35-year-old who, inevitably, is finding himself planning his future. “I don't think living or racing in Brazil will be an option for me – he told UOL Esporte – Maybe just for fun and a race or two, but not a championship”.

The driver doesn't seem to want to move away from Monaco, where he has lived for some time with his family: "There are many other categories to race in such as the WEC, the DTM or Formula E, I have time to think."

Tranquility will be a constant in Massa's choices: “I think I have much less pressure to decide, it's entirely up to me. I have no idea if I will race next year or not, it should be something I feel comfortable in and interested in."

The possibility of seeing him again in F1 in a new guise cannot be ruled out either: “I don't see myself working on the technical side of a team – he added – or as a journalist, I've never dreamed of doing so. What I can do is represent any brand, participate in events. If I do something for TV it won't be a regular job, maybe a competition here and there because it's not part of me and it's not what I want to do now."
