On the future: "Ferrari knows my talent"

Massa: “I lost the podium in the pits”

Felipe Massa finished the Italian F1 GP in fourth position. The Brazilian who started fourth at the start found himself second at the first corner after a good start. After giving up the position to Alonso, the Brazilian also lost third place in the pits to Mark Webber.

“I lost a position in the pits, that was the problem with my race and therefore I couldn't fight for the podium” commented Massa. “It was the only problem I had in this race, the start was good and the pace wasn't bad so that was the only problem that stopped me from being on the podium in front of all the Italians” he explained he.

To those who asked him if this race will be enough to guarantee his renewal at Ferrari, Massa replied: "Maybe not this race but they know me well, they know what I'm capable of doing, they know the talent I have so it's useless to stay there speaking, there's nothing to say, there's just work to do on the car and do some good races. Today was a positive race in which we did everything we could. What will happen... will happen, this is an important race for my future but it doesn't mean that the future is only in red so let's try to do the best for me and for the team, the best for everyone. The team knows my talent and what I am capable of doing."
