Massa: Fantastic to be on the podium in Monza!

The Monza weekend was certainly positive. In the past, for one reason or another, I had never managed to get a good result in the Italian Grand Prix so for me it was fantastic to finally be able to get on that podium: the view there was incredible, with a kilometer of track full of fans shouting your name. A really good feeling.

Finishing in third place after starting from the same position is positive, even if at the end of the race you always think if you could have achieved something more. There were very exciting moments on the first lap: maybe I could have gained a position but then I was lucky not to have any damage after the collision with Hamilton. Later on, maybe I could have overtaken Button by staying on track even longer before the pit stop but you never know what could have happened so there's nothing to complain about, especially because it was a really good result, for me and for the team, important in the fight for the two championships.

In Monza I always stay in a beautiful old-fashioned hotel and on Saturday it was nice to have dinner there with Eric Clapton. We have been friends for some time and have kept in touch since I met him: he is a big Ferrari fan. No, I didn't ask him for suggestions on how to play the guitar because it would be quite painful: not so much for me but for the person who should listen to me...

We expected the F10 to be competitive. As I said before the race, performance changes from track to track. Our car is very good under braking and has excellent traction so we were quite confident. Furthermore, there have been some developments and there will be others for the final races. Yesterday I was in Maranello to meet my engineers and to work on the simulator, not only on Singapore but also to have a first taste of the Korean Grand Prix circuit, because it is always important to have a feeling of a completely new track. We have to push hard for the end of the season and being at the factory is part of our job, especially since there are no longer any tests.

Singapore is one of those races that I missed last year, one more reason to look forward to returning to that track. In 2008, for reasons we all know, the race turned into a nightmare for me, considering it had started so well. I had done an excellent qualifying, with a pole position with at least six tenths of an advantage over the second, so I was definitely aiming for victory. We'll see what we can do this time!
