Massa: “We lack aerodynamic downforce”

Felipe Massa is aware of Ferrari's moment of difficulty. In qualifying for the Malaysian GP the Brazilian did not go beyond seventh place, far behind Red Bull and McLaren. Like Fernando Alonso, Massa also admitted that the Ferrari F150° Italia lacks aerodynamic downforce.

“It certainly wasn't an easy qualifying, especially looking at the times they were able to make the top four” declared Massa.

“We fought with the others but it is clear that, compared to the best, tomorrow we will have to run on defense. From a dry strategy point of view we can expect three or four stops” added Massa.

The rain could give Ferrari a hand: “If it really rains, then anything can happen and we will have to be ready for anything. Today the best possible position was fifth: I wasn't able to get it, also because I didn't do a perfect lap, but at least I'll start from the clean side of the track. We know that we lack aerodynamic load: we are working on it but only when we have made progress will we be able to fight for the top positions" concluded Massa.
