Marussia: some difficulties for Glock in qualifying
Twenty-first and twenty-second place in qualifying for Glock and Pic
Timo Glock, 21st: “It was a busy and difficult day for me. The car felt good this morning and I had a good feeling about it, and I was confident enough about our stints on the option tires – the mediums – in FP3 to see how far they would take us. But for some reason I had big problems with the tires, like yesterday, and the car didn't have good balance at all. I was going slower on the medium tires than the others, and it was a bit of a shock. I managed to put together two good laps, but I didn't have enough confidence with the tyres. I made two mistakes that cost me a few tenths. The team did a great job once again, and so far I haven't had any other technical problems, we'll see for the race."
Charles Pic, 22nd: “For me it was a good qualifying and a good day in general. I'm a little closer to Timo than Australia and that's the goal I have now. There are still a couple of tenths to shave off, but it still remains a good step forward. It will be a tough race tomorrow, given that today I only did a few laps, while tomorrow 56. The weather is uncertain, and it will be interesting for everyone. The team did a good job in these conditions."
