Marussia: Glock, “With the Kers it will be better”
The Anglo-Russian team lost the precious tenth place in the standings
If there is a team that leaves Sao Paulo disappointed, it is certainly Marussia. From a possible tenth in the standings, Caterham took over the position right at the bottom.
“There's not much to say, the result speaks for itself. It's a great shame for everyone involved in the team” – was the comment of Timo Glock, sixteenth at the finish line – “Unfortunately Vergne hit me on the restart after the Safety Car and ruined my race because I had to return to the pits and fall back to the back of the group. Nonetheless, there is something to be proud of for what we have achieved together this year. I believe that in 2013 everything will be better with KERS."
“Although the outcome was not as hoped, mine was one of the best races with the team. We chose the right strategy and pushed hard for all 71 laps” – admitted Charles Pic, excellent twelfth, – “The track was very slippery but the car was quite well balanced, so we managed to get the most out of it. I take this opportunity to thank the team who supported me in my debut in F1 and I wish them all the best for the future."
