Martin Brundle: “Williams must not deprive itself of Bottas”
"Mercedes should focus on Wehrlein", the former driver's thoughts
In recent days Valtteri Bottas seems very close to becoming the driver who will join Lewis Hamilton in Mercedes, thus replacing Nico Rosberg who retired after the world title won at the end of November in Abu Dhabi.
For Martin Brundle, commentating on F1 for Sky Sports UK, Williams should not give up its driver, as the Finnish's experience could be useful next season, where the premier class of motorsport will undergo yet another regulatory revolution in its history recent.
"In 2017 we will see new cars on the track and a team like Williams cannot do without an expert driver like Bottas – Brundle said - It is not yet clear how the young Stroll will behave, which is why Williams should keep hold of Bottas. In my opinion, Mercedes should promote Pascal Wehrlein".
