Marko: “We're not interested in Mick Schumacher”

The approach is complicated Mick Schumacher in Formula 1.

Helmut Marko has categorically ruled out Red Bull's interest in enrolling the driver in the Scuderia's youth development programme.

If things were simpler for Max Verstappen at the same age, the same will not be the case for Michael Schumacher's seventeen-year-old son.

“Mick Schumacher is not on our radar. There is nothing else to say,” Marko candidly admitted.

For his part, little Schumi seems to be happy to move with caution and one step at a time, choosing to remain in Formula 4 next year too, avoiding a premature jump to Formula 1.

“For the moment my goal is to become a good and complete driver – he said – This is why it is important to have a solid base and become familiar with all aspects of the races I will compete in”.
