Marcus Ericsson looks back on 2015: “Good season, even if I could have done more”
The Swede scored 9 points with Sauber last season
Having arrived at Sauber from Caterham, Marcus Ericsson achieved a final 18th place in the drivers' standings at the wheel of the Swiss single-seater with 9 points in 2015.
"How would I rate my season? Maybe a seven, because I think it was a decent year. Even if you always want to get more”, the Swede told Motorsport.com
Then Ericsson analyzes the season in detail: “I'm disappointed with my start, because I think that when we had a competitive package we weren't able to get the best out of it. I'm more satisfied with the second half of the year, where I think it went much better and I'm more satisfied".
“Aeven if – the driver born in '90 continues – in the second half of the year we lost a bit of margin compared to our direct competitors".
On 2016 and Sauber's thoughts on designing a more aggressive car, Ericsson said: “That's the way to go. We need to take risks, otherwise we will remain at the same level".
