Marcus Ericsson: “It wasn't a perfect day”

The pilots of the team Clean they were able to complete 120 laps. Despite the technical problems on the two cars Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson they completed 61 and 59 laps respectively on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit. The Brazilian driver used his third engine, while the Swede is still on his second unit.

Marcus Ericsson P19 (FP1), P19 (FP2): “It wasn't a perfect day. We had some technical problems in the first session, and unfortunately I wasn't able to complete many laps. In this sense, the second session was better as I completed 51 laps. I'm not completely satisfied with the behavior of the car at the moment, so we need to analyze the data and see where we can improve. Tomorrow I will have a new power unit, so I should be able to improve my lap times."

Felipe Nasr P17 (FP1), P17 (FP2): “In the morning session we lost a lot of time due to the problems we had. But in the afternoon we were able to recover. This helped us understand the car better. It was nice to get an idea of the tires provided by Pirelli (ultrasoft and supersoft) for both short and long stints. From my point of view, ultrasoft won't last long. So good tire management will be the key for Sunday's race.”
