Manor, Wehrlein: “A day to forget”

Sunday to forget for Manor on the Russian track in Sochi. Pascal Wehrlein and Rio Haryanto, in fact, failed to achieve the minimum objective set by the team for this weekend in Russia, which was to finish the race ahead of the Saubers of Felipe Nasr and Marcuss Ericsson. The Indonesian driver was held back at the start by a bad contact at the chicane which compromised his entire race. A different story however for Pascal Wehrlein, blocked by the consumption of his car.

Here are the words of Pascal Wehrlein: “The start of the race was certainly positive and we managed to compete with the Saubers. We then damaged the rear compounds and from then on the whole race got complicated. We had to make a second pit and this cost us a lot of time. It was a real shame."

Here are the impressions of Rio Haryanto: “Not being able to finish the race was a disappointment. Unfortunately, the numerous contacts at the first corner did not allow us to close this event in Russia with a good placing. We will try to redeem ourselves in Barcelona, ​​a track that is much more congenial to our single-seater."
