The English car places two drivers in the top ten in Hungary and will play its chances for a prestigious result in the race
Maldonado: “The priority is to bring home points”

Williams was certainly the surprise in Qualifying for the Hungarian GP, bringing both cars into Q3 and finishing with an eighth and ninth place for Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna.

“My performance in qualifying was quite good, especially in Q2, but in Q3 I encountered traffic twice and couldn't do better than eighth place”, said the Venezuelan. “But I'm happy for the team, they did a good job to put us close to the leaders and I think it's ultimately a positive qualifying. Tomorrow will undoubtedly be a difficult race, but it is also an important event for scoring points and obtaining a top ten finish is our priority. The rivals are very close, but Bruno and I are both in the top ten and now we need to push for an even better position in the race. We have the right car to get a good result tomorrow", Maldonado explained.

Bruno Senna is also optimistic, after being third yesterday in FP2 and fourth this morning in FP3: “It's been a good weekend so far and I'm really happy to be in the top ten for the first time this season. In Q2 the gap was very close, but we managed to get through and in fact I could have done a better lap in Q3 without traffic, but I'm happy with the position and having both cars in the top ten is a great result for the team. The car is good at a consistent pace and on long runs, so it's a good look for tomorrow. We are in a strong position for the start of the race, so let's try to work hard to bring home some good points for Williams", the Brazilian commented instead.
