Magnussen tough on Kvyat: “Daniil lost his mind in Monte Carlo”

Kevin Magnussen didn't tell Daniil Kvyat. The Dane and the Russian were involved in an accident in the last Grand Prix, held last Sunday in Monte Carlo. In the first part of the race, when the asphalt among the narrow streets of the Principality was still slippery due to the rain, the two came into contact several times, with the last of these clashes taking place at Rascasse.

It was precisely the contact at Rascasse that ended up under investigation, with the race direction deciding to penalize the Russian from Toro Rosso with three positions on the starting grid, to be served in the next world championship event in Canada. Magnussen is convinced that the accident prevented him from obtaining a good placing. The Renault driver, like Kvyat, did not finish the Monegasque race.

"In Monte Carlo they had made an excellent strategic choice – Magnussen said – fitting the intermediate ones first. We could have recovered a lot of positions, reaching the Top Ten, if Kvyat hadn't lost his head and rammed me like that. At that precise moment my race ended, even though I completed several laps before retiring".
