Perhaps due to the 2016 calendar already disclosed and full of events, there has never been so much talk about the summer break.

The last voice to bring up the issue is that of Paddy Lowe who claimed the right to holiday, forgetting the roaring 70s championships when racing started in January and ended at the end of October, without counting the tests before and during the season.

“I think the obligation to stop for two weeks is right – the technical director of the company told the Brazilian UOL Mercedes – F1 has always been made up of moments of quiet alternating with more busy ones, but today we are in a continuous cycle, so a ceasefire is essential, not so much for those who work there because they are usually fanatical about their profession, as well as for the family members who suffer most from being away for so many months."
