Lotus Renault: Petrov and Heidfeld continue testing in Barcelona

It was a productive day for Lotus Renault yesterday in Barcelona with Petrov and Heidfeld taking turns driving the R31.

“After missing track time yesterday, it was nice to get back in the car this morning and we completed a lot of laps. We found a lot of new things and I worked on the general set-up as well as understanding how the tires perform. It's very cold here, especially compared to Jerez, so it was difficult to warm up the tires to start with, but we learned a lot from the short runs we did. ”

Nick Heidfeld
“The balance of the car wasn't as good as in Jerez, but we improved the situation throughout the day. We lost some time at the beginning of the afternoon, but when I went out on track I did some useful work with new tires and collected useful data. We still need to do some kilometers because there are still many things to try, especially the car set-up.”
