Lotus: Kovalainen and Trulli's comments after qualifying in Abu Dhabi

In qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina circuit, Lotus's Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli set 18th and 19th times respectively.

Heikki Kovalainen – 18: “I'm really happy with today's performance. We definitely got as much performance as we could have out of the car and getting into the 1.42s is very satisfying. We know where we are with the race pace and it gives us another chance tomorrow to finish the race in a good position. I'm also looking forward to racing in Brazil, where we will have an update to the rear wing, which should give us a better chance to use the DRS more effectively throughout the qualifying lap. So another improvement in Brazil with the update would be a great way to end the qualifying session this season.”

Jarno Trulli – 19:. “It was obviously a difficult Saturday for me, having had to miss FP3 when we found a problem with the gearbox which couldn't be resolved in time to race in that session. Despite this, the team worked well to resolve the problem and gave me the chance to go out in qualifying without incurring any penalties, in order to put together a lap that keeps me comfortably ahead of the guys. Considering the circumstances, a pretty good qualification. “
