Lotus, Grosjean: “Fortunately it's over”

The Genevan finished thirteenth. Maldonado knocked out by fire

Lotus, Grosjean: “Fortunately it's over”

The season could have ended better Lotus but the Abu Dhabi race provided the exact representation of his 2014, always out of the positions that matter and plagued by technical problems.

“I think it was impossible better than this – the thoughts of Romain Grosjean, 13th – Honestly, my race, handicapped by the discounted drive through at the end of the first lap, wasn't very eventful, the only thing is that the three-stop strategy we went to two. I'm happy that the championship is over. Now I can't wait to try the E23. With the new PU and revised aerodynamics we will certainly take a step forward."

“I was surprised by how good my pace was and in the fight with the Ferraris I had a lot of fun – the consideration of Pastor Maldonado , out on lap 26 – I pushed and the feeling was good with both compounds until the engine stopped working and caught fire. It's a shame, but I'm still optimistic about the future."
